Life Story for
Bobby G. Rowlett, age 80, of Hanover, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at the Hanover Health and Rehab Center in Hanover. Born February 19, 1937 in Bedford, Kentucky, he was the son of Jefferson Rowlett and Mildred (Leach) Rowlett Sanders.
On September 13, 1959, he was united in marriage to the former Patricia A. Mullins.
Mr. Rowlett attended Madison Consolidated High School and was an United States Air Force veteran, having served from March 2, 1954 to March 18, 1958, and honorably discharged with the rank of Airman Third Class.
He returned to the Madison area in 1997 after spending several years in Sandusky, Ohio. He worked as a maintenance man for the former Bailey Paint Company in Madison, the Routh Packing Company and Waggoner Quarry, both in Sandusky.
He will be missed by his daughter, Lisa Reed of Hanover; two half-sisters: Judy Groves and her husband, Terry, and Donna Hudson and her husband, Bob, all of Madison; one half-brother, Michael Sanders and his wife, Kathy of Louisville, Kentucky; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife on April 26, 2012; and his step-father, Trimble Sanders.
Reverend Dr. Dennis Bickers will conduct funeral services at 10:30 AM Friday, January 12, 2018 at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, with interment to follow in Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery. The Honor Guard from the United States Air Force at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and Jefferson Post #9, American Legion will conduct military services.
Friends and family may call from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM Friday at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel.
